Living Awareness Yoga

What Is
LAY?

Living Awareness Yoga was born out of Teressa's love for the philosophies of Yoga, Buddhism and Non-Dualism (Advaita Vedanta) and her creative impulse to put these ​complementary wisdom traditions into contemplative motion. Every session  is designed to offer a rich practice of deep connection to your mind, body and heart, of happiness and freedom.

  • LAY classes begin with a theme to contemplate on and off the mat.

  • LAY classes integrate the postures of Hatha yoga and the energetic movement of Kundalini yoga, honoring and maintaining the integrity of the science behind each.

  • Chanting adds a devotional element and Advaita meditation allows us to experience our true nature as open, spacious Consciousness.

Classes

Each class contains the same seven elements:

  • Grounding

  • Contemplation

  • Asana (physical postures)

  • Chanting

  • Savasana (deep rest)

  • Meditation

  • Poem

We look forward to the day when it's safe for us to be together in person again. LAY classes are on hiatus until then.

Private Sessions

Private yoga sessions are structured to meet your unique physical and emotional needs. Whether you are new to yoga, recovering from injury, surgery, or trauma, individualized classes allow for a customized experience for healing and growth. Email Teressa to schedule a free consultation .
