Deaf/HOH Community

Many years ago, I had the wonderful experience of serving as an ASL educational and medical interpreter in Connecticut. I also worked at the American School for the Deaf and learned much about Deaf culture from my time there. I performed with the CRIDDERS for a few years, and again developed rich friendships within the Deaf, CODA and Interpreting communities.

I enjoyed interpreting because of the beauty of the language and because I valued playing a role in facilitating communication between the Deaf and Hearing cultures. My experience showed me that the Deaf community is full of strong, intelligent, creative, compassionate and capable people who deserve equal access to information and opportunity and respect for their language and culture.

Twenty years later and now as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I am actively serving the Deaf community. I specialize in anxiety, depression, grief, PTSD, couples/marriage and parenting/family work. Our time together is always confidential and occurs within a safe and non judgmental space.

Please reach out to me so we can schedule a free 20 minute video session to meet and see how I can best support you and your family.
